I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. They go by fast, don't they? ;-)
- The students are doing an amazing job in our Reading Garden. They have started planting clover as a native ground cover. We will continue this Thursday
- This Friday will be our Halloween Costume walk. The students can come in costumes if they choose and we will walk around the school in a parade to show our friends. The parade will be in the morning so they may want to bring something to wear afterward.
- Thank you so much to those who came in and met with me last Thursday. I look forward to seeing the rest of you this Thursday.
- A reminder that we have a teacher workshop day on Tuesday, November 8th, and the students do not have school. Also, we will not have school on Friday, November 11th in honor of Veteran's Day.
- Thursday, November 10th is our Veteran's Day assembly. Your student brought home a permission form if they would like to bring a Veteran to join us on that day. If you are interested in volunteering that day, here is the link to do so https://www.signupgenius.com/
go/10c0b4bafab28a5fc1- marshwood - I added a few pictures from our Volume Zoo to our photo link.
Math - This week we will focus on dividing to multiply unit and non-unit fractions.
Language Arts - The students have written their second draft of their personal narrative. This week we will focus on the dialogue. We will practice punctuation and adding clever dialogue tags as well as action beats to our writing.
In our book groups this week, we will read to discover the issues our character faces and think about what our character is learning and feeling during these issues. They will meet in their groups on Friday. Please remind them to come prepared.
Science - This week the students will start creating their water projects. I cannot wait to see what they come up with.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. The best way to get a hold of me is through email. I try to check it multiple times during the day, sara.lindgren@rsu35.org
Have a great week!
