I hope everyone had an amazing holiday break! It went very fast ;-)
I have added a few pictures of our Balloons Over Broadway creations to our pictures link.
A reminder if you have any donations you would like to bring in for the holiday boutique, I know they are still looking. I did a little closet cleaning this weekend ;-) I'll let you know when our shopping days are being held.
Math - This week we have started Unit 3. We will continue with multiplying fractions, first being able to explain it conceptually and then moving into the algorithm along with mixed numbers and division.
Language Arts - We will be bringing our Mentor Sentences back, focusing on parts of speech, and sentence structure.
We will also be reading a short story called Kaddo's Wall, which is a West African folktale. The students will be learning rich vocabulary and having evidence-driven discussions.
Science - Robotics! The students will be building Lego robots, programming on the robots themselves, and then moving towards programming on iPads. They will be conducting many challenges and journaling along the way.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. The best way to get a hold of me is through email. I try to check it multiple times during the day, sara.lindgren@rsu35.org
Have a great week!
