Welcome back and Happy New Year!!
- On Tuesday, January 10th at 6:30 there will be a parent information night regarding the Pinkham Notch trip. I highly recommend you attend if you can. It is very informative. We haven't been able to go in three years and a lot has changed.
- If you are interested in chaperoning the Pinkham Notch trip, please send me an email to let me know. We are not sure about the number of parents we can take, it changes all the time. Therefore, I will not be able to let you know if you are chosen until sometime after February vacation. I believe our trip will be on April 26-28. There will be more information about chaperoning at the Jan. 10th meeting.
Math - We are jumping back into dividing fractions and whole numbers.
Language Arts - This week we are reading a Junior Great Books short story called A Game of Catch. We will pull out important vocabulary and debate our answers to the focus question, pulling out key evidence as we go.
Social Studies - The students researched different scenarios of what happened in the Lost Colony of Roanoke. They are now deciding what theory they believe happened. They are writing using evidence to back their claims. We will also start learning about the first 13 colonies.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out. The best way to get a hold of me is through email. I try to check it multiple times during the day, sara.lindgren@rsu35.org
Have a great week!
